With so much information out there and the oft quoted “fake news” its hard to know what to believe. As a board-certified Family Medicine physician who works in Emergency Medicine, I have gotten a barrage of texts, calls and questions from friends, family and current/former patients. All these inquiries pose some form of the same question:
How serious is COVID?
The mission of COVID SA is to serve as a source of information** for you, a denizen of the South Texas region, who wants to know more about this pandemic but more importantly wants to know more about the ways you can best protect your family and friends.
If I could share one thing with the population at large it would be this:
COVID is serious.
COVID will cause serious illness and death in your community if it’s not respected and taken seriously.
